Safeguarding & Learner Support
At Teach Vocation, safeguarding is part of everything we do.
Every learner, tutor, and visitor has the right to feel safe, respected, and supported while learning or working with us.
Our Commitment
We meet the expected safeguarding standard set by Ofsted and the Department for Education (DfE).
This means protecting learners from harm, neglect, abuse, discrimination, or radicalisation — both online and in person.
We promote an open culture where learners can speak up early and know they will be taken seriously.
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
📧 safe@teachvocation.com
Our DSL leads a trained safeguarding team responsible for responding to concerns, managing referrals, and keeping everyone up to date with current safeguarding and Prevent guidance.
If you ever feel unsafe or worried about someone else, contact us immediately. You can speak to any member of staff or email directly to the above address.
When You Raise a Concern
You’ll be listened to with respect and without judgment.
We’ll act quickly, following our safeguarding procedure.
You’ll be kept informed wherever possible about next steps.
Your information will be handled confidentially and shared only with those who need to know.
Prevent Duty
We help learners understand and challenge extremist or harmful views safely.
Through open discussion and inclusive learning, we promote British Values — democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect — as part of everyday teaching.
Wellbeing & Learner Support
We know learning can have its pressures. Our support offer includes:
Pastoral and welfare support throughout your course.
One-to-one guidance from tutors and support coaches.
Safeguarding and wellbeing resources on our Learning Management System.
Post-course coaching for up to 13 weeks after completion to help you stay on track.
Where specialist support is needed, we’ll connect you with local or national services, including mental health, financial advice, or housing support.
Online Safety
We build digital awareness into induction and delivery.
You’ll learn how to protect your privacy, recognise online risks, and report unsafe behaviour.
All Teach Vocation systems are monitored, and misuse is dealt with immediately.
